People of Burma, Laos and Thailand

March 20, 2011 -- This post features pictures of the people of Burma (Myanmar), Laos and Thailand; from the residents working to the tourists at play and other subjects in between.

This post shows people in a cross-section of activities.  Much of the transportation is on the water, at times with a unique style of leg rowing while standing -- designed to allow the rower to see beyond the reeds which can be thick.

The people of Burma (Myanmar), Laos and Thailand are deeply religious and the primary religion in these countries is Buddhism.  These countries are rich with Buddhist temples, and most are architectural gems.  The people appear to practice their religion from an early age, and their religious philosophy seems to give them peace and joy.
