The morning of Memorial Day 2005 (May 30), we left a sleepy San Francisco and headed across the Golden Gate Bridge to enjoy the Marin Headlands and the many great views to be seen at that beautiful location. We stopped at Vista Point and, along with busloads of tourists, enjoyed patriotic music while we soaked in the sunshine and the beauty around us. We explored old coastal artillery ruins, climbed around the headlands, enjoying the Bridge, birds and wild flowers along with other hikers and bikers. We hope you enjoy these digital photos first published June 13, 2005 by City Birds.
