This is a close-up of the beautiful "Battle of the Bulge Memorial Trail" at Fort Miley, San Francisco.  The trail honors the soldiers who fought one of the bloodiest battles in American military history.  The battle which began mid-December 1944 teaches that a war isn't over until it is over.  A City Birds digital photo.
