Dancing to his own music, he was totally in his own world.  The music was cheerful, albiet atonal.  In tanto allegro, the strains of his violin evoked a swarm of bees.  However, occasionally he broke up the swarm with bridges of deep, sonorous tones, smoothly executed in controlled glissando movements.
