| This Civil War Era cannon on the grounds of Fort Mason, San Francisco, guards the Fort Mason Officers' Club (McDowell Hall).
The building, originally Quarters One, became the Officers' Club for the Port Command in 1943, midway through World War II. Today it serves as the Fort Mason Officers' Club under the Presidio of Monterey, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command. A City Birds digital photo. |
