| At Battery Dynamite, located just a bit West of the Fort Scott barracks, an earthen parapet with reinforced concrete retaining walls was built to protect the dynamite guns and their adjacent power house. The large doors visible in the corner led to the battery’s magazine, where 90 projectiles of various sizes were stored.
